Gabor’s Thames Path Challenge

January 20th, 2014

Last year many of our friends and clients generously supported Graeme’s trek to the summit of Ethiopia’s highest mountain as part of his long-term support for agricultural development charity, Send a Cow.

This year Gabor Kovacs has committed himself to a long-distance endeavour of his own – a little closer to home, and not at such a dizzying altitude, but again in support of a cause with real personal significance.

Gabor has signed up for the Thames Path Challenge – a walk along the banks of the Thames from Putney to Henley. This is no gentle riverside stroll: the route covers 100 km (62 miles) and has to be completed in just 24 hours.

Gabor will be raising funds for the Stroke Association: his father suffered a severe stroke in 2010.

If you would like to support Gabor, you can make your pledge online at or call in at the office. The Challenge takes place on 13-14 September 2014, and will be keeping you updated with Gabor’s training and fundraising in the months ahead.

Traffic News

January 6th, 2014

Everyone arriving in the office today has a story to tell about flooded roads following the very heavy rainfall over the last few days.  This is the scene on the A32 at Wickham at about 9.00 am.  The road was flooded, and the Police were directing traffic at the crossroads.  I was first in the queue waiting to go through.

If you are coming to our office today, please note that the A32 is flooded just north of the office, on the north side of the pass under the M27.

What a start to the New Year!  Nevertheless, we wish you every success in 2014.
